What do you understand by 'brain drain' and 'brain gain'?

Brain drain affects mostly developing or underdeveloped countries. Brain gain mostly occurs in developed countries. Most of the people who migrate from developing countries are skilled people, and when they leave, results in brain drain for the home country and also in slowdown in development of the home countries.
